Y12SR is a holistic model to address the physical, mental and spiritual dis-ease of addiction. Y12SR “connects the dots” by combining the somatic approach of yoga with the cognitive approach of the 12-step recovery model.

Class is usually 30 minutes of mindful meditation focusing on observing and quieting our thoughts either in seated or lying down.

Vinyasa yoga focuses on connecting the breath to your movements, which tend to be set at a faster pace (constant flow of movements).
Hatha yoga is practiced at a slower pace, with focus on the breath, controlled movements, and stretching (84 poses).

The soft glow of candlelight engages the parasympathetic nervous system which activates the relaxation response. This calm helps focus the breath, release the mind, and relax the body.
Mobility describes your ability to move with control.
Flexibility describes a muscle’s ability to move through a total range of motion (ROM), with or without control.
This class will introduce safe movements for a persons individual body.
